Dorset Cyclelife opened in Poundbury, Dorset in August 2014. It is Raleigh’s first dedicated electric bike shop. Since we opened Raleigh have set up 2 further e-bike specialist stores. The Dutch group that owns Raleigh – Accell – know that the future is electric. An ageing population, living longer with more disposable income and a concern for the environment and their mental and physical well-being means that the UK is one of the most rapidly expanding marketplaces for e-bikes. Dorset is an ideal location for buying or hiring electric bikes to explore the South West of England.

London might have the Boris Highway but we in Dorset have some of the best and most beautiful cycling in the UK. Based in Poundbury we are very much a community business – we want you to enjoy riding our bikes and feel part of a group whose main aim is safe, healthy, environmentally responsible transportation. We work with regional governmental departments in the South West, special interest groups and large charitable bodies. We have regular rides from our shop in Poundbury and encourage all customers – potential or actual – to come and join us exploring the idyllic setting we all enjoy.

Over the course of the year we organise various social events and will happily provide any technical training or assistance you may require. We will try and help anybody out with a bike-related matter – although we do have to prioritise our own customers’ requirements.

Goods orderd by 15.00 on a working day are normally despatched to arrive the following working day.
