SOFEA is a charity which has been set up to help charities around Oxfordshire, which help people from the different communities around Oxfordshire who are in need of food. Tesco will be distributing food to our warehouse which will otherwise go to waste, we then sort the food into the different categories, pack it and then send it out to the the different charities. The opportunity SOFEA gives you a young person is to gain warehouse experience, training and gain new skills for work. You will also be giving back to the community and setting a good culture for the SOFEA warehouse. We have many people who will be starting a traineeship in early September. At the moment we currently have a few volunteers, to help set up the warehouse before it is fully up and running. These volunteers are also starting the traineeship in September. The traineeship is open to 16 - 24 year olds, in some cases there are eceptions. This is a great experience for the younger generation to gain new skills and give back to their local community.
