DKMY Architects Ltd is an innovative design led architects practice and sustainability consultants based in Belper Derbyshire.

Our office is located within the UNESCO Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site where Sir Richard Arkwright first harnessed water power as the energy source to run his manufacturing empire.

At DKMY Architects Ltd our approach to design tries to adopt Arkwright's model; a bespoke repsonse to a unique location, an understanding of the historical and social context within which our designs sit, the innovative use of locally sourced building materials and the employment of sustainable energies to help deliver practical and cost efficient solutions in which people can live, learn and work.
