Ditton Early Years Centre and Nursery School

Here at Ditton Early Years Centre we provide childcare provision between the ages of 0-5. Here is a description of each area within our centre -

Baby Room (0-2 years)
Babies from 3 months olds join our friendly welcoming baby room. We encourage investigation and exploration through high quality play with key persons observing and planning for the babies individually. The room is well designed for the primary areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage with Personal, Social and Emotional Development, Communication and Physical Development at the heart of our care and learning. Babies have daily access to our outdoor area and we regularly take walks within our local area.

Toddler Room (2-3 years)
We provide a caring and stimulating environment for your two year old. Key persons welcome you and your child and provide for their individual interests through observations and sharing progress with you. Staff also plan together for more room activities and experiences and so develop independence and active learning. We have a large outside area for children to enjoy, grassy banks, soft play, gardens and planting areas. A shelter provides cover for all year round play.

Nursery School
Ditton Nursery School has long been established in the area. Since 1942 we have provided quality nursery care and have moved into new purpose built premises within Ditton Early Years Centre. We have a beautiful open aspect to the park and inside our large open rooms encourage children to explore and develop through well planned areas and an extensive range of resources. Our qualified teachers and early years practitioners plan for children’s learning to ensure that all children reach their full potential. Children have access to a large outdoor learning environment where they can play, investigate and develop their skills throughout the session.
