The Church of England's Diocese of Portsmouth covers 139 parishes in south-east Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, from Bramshott in the north to Ventnor in the south, from Botley in the west to Emsworth in the east.
It's a geographical area of the C of E led by the Bishop of Portsmouth, the Rt Rev Christopher Foster. Our cathedral is in Old Portsmouth and is also a parish church.
A small team of diocesan officers helps administer finance, property, social justice campaigns and training courses, as well as offering advice to parishes and church schools on a range of issues.
