Délices - Bedford's New Artisan Bakery With A French Accent

Délices (pronounced Day-Lease) is the authentic Parisian boulangerie -pâtisserie in Bedford.
We specialise in producing the finest French bread and cakes. These are freshly made and baked on the premises, next to The Art Centre on Howard Street, just of off Bedford's High Street . We use authentic French flour and recipes, and traditional skills mastered whilst training in some of the premier kitchens and bakeries in France.

Our range of bread, viennoiseries , cakes and other delicious products is second-to-none. These are available to the public and trade alike. We also have two café areas (inside and outside), where we invite you to enjoy Délices' products in true continental style.

Délices is owned and run by friends and business partners Diana and Géraldine. Both ladies had previous professional careers in France before deciding to concentrate on baking. Diana has worked at some of the best hotels, kitchens and chocalatiers in Paris (including the kitchen of the Assemblée Nationale), as well as teaching bakery and pâtisserie. Géraldine had already settled in Bedford and the two met whilst undergoing intensive training as boulangères in one of the top schools in Paris. Géraldine has trained in several award-winning French bakeries in Paris, including for the supplier of the Président de la République Française (who knows, perhaps she baked François Hollande's famous croissants..!).
