Learning to drive with Dave has been brilliant.

He always arrived on time to lessons and taught in a professional manner. Lessons are two hours which means you can accomplish lots from just one lesson.

When I went for my practical driving test, I was at a stage where I knew if I applied what Dave taught me, I would pass. Needless to say, I did!

I waited until turning 30 to learn to drive. When I started looking for an instructor I was concerned that they may be so used to 17 year old learners that I would be handled identically and not treated as an individual.


Dave Egdell came highly recommend by a friend my age so I signed up. Throughout the whole process Dave was excellent, tailoring his approach to my individual needs. He made sure to clearly explain what we were trying to achieve with individual lessons, valuing and incorporating my opinion into the plan. As someone who has just started a family I appreciated that the focus of the course was always centred around safety and giving me the tools to disarm difficult situations, not just about passing a test.

Learning to drive with Dave was good, I liked the way we organised lessons around my college timetable. The lessons were good fun most of the time. If something was difficult we would look at diagrams and discuss how to deal them. I would recommend Dave.

I'd had two previous instructors before meeting Dave. I didn't feel as though either of them were treating me as an individual. Different people learn in different ways and Dave takes this into account. Within a few hours I could feel a difference and I felt as though I was making progress. Lessons were organised around my shifts at work and I found the two hours much more productive than just one hour.
