Danesfield Gardens Nursery

Danesfield Gardens Nursery is a small, family run business based in Medmenham, near Marlow supplying bedding plants, herbaceous plants and vegetables throughout the spring and summer months. Set amongst picturesque Victorian greenhouses and potting sheds, Danesfield Gardens Nursery is a beautiful place to come and visit. Whether you need a geranium or two, Isabel's reknowned hanging baskets, or just fancy a chat, Betty and Isabel will always provide a warm welcome.

The business was established in 1967, by Betty Ryan. Betty started the business single handedly, doing plants her spare time. With her mother's family background of farming and agriculture, she already knew some of the basics but then increased her knowledge over the years by trial and error. After a lot of hard work, the business steadily grew, supplying many of the local garden centres with plants and vegetables.

Nowadays, Betty is ably assisted by her daughter Isabel, who has been involved in the nursery for the last 30 years. Isabel's beautiful hanging baskets are famous in the local area, and are one of the things that Danesfield Gardens Nursery is reknowned for.

Isabel's wonderful creations can be spotted at many local pubs and restuarants, including The Hand & Flowers and The Frog in Skirmett.
