DanceMode Youth

Established 2004. We empower young talented youth (age 5-18yrs) We are the official flagship DanceMode school for "Bringing Culture to Street Dance" including working in partnership with a theatre company to include vocal & drama workshops . We build youth positively who perform for entertainment productions, events, cultural weddings & for community showcasing young dancers as artists and in team.

DanceMode Youth is facilitated by coaches who are all DanceMode Mitcham alumni students that grew with the school from a young child to now skilled coaches, choreographers and mentors. Ayesha, Shanice, Delrose & Jenny continue to pursue their talents and deliver highly praised classes and honorable support.

We understand how dance & performing arts can make a difference shaping the lives of youth and our contribution is :

- Boost Self-esteem : Students take part in performances that has them build in confidence, a skill that is carried with them into life.

- Positive Mindset : Students enter various forms of what could be regarded as competition events but where our morals is that competition is just with ourselves to out do our last performance.

- Achievements : Students can take IDTA (International Dance Teachers Association) examinations that give focus to technique and performance. The qualifications can also be used for entry into performing arts schools as these alternative qualifications are highly valued and appreciated by many.

- Fun : Yes we come together because we have something in common.. talent. As a community we create some fun memories and despite working our talents hard we share plenty of laughs.

Taking part in a dance activity is highly recommended for body, mind and soul, with benefits to include good health, emotional release, and stress reduction. Students connect and really enjoy dancing in a mixed culture dance academy that relate to our ethos of bringing culture to streetdance. Students express themselves freely, naturally with soul spirit oneness.
