More about CryoContour Body Transform

What is Cryolipolysis
Cryolipolysis is taken from the words Cryo (freezing) and Lipo (fat). It works by reducing the temperature of targeted areas of body fat to destroy the fat cells and thereby reduce the fat in that specific area.

Is it safe?
Yes it is safe. It is non-intrusive which means it is non-surgical. It is often referred to a safer and more cost effective alternative to Liposuction. And best of all, this can be carried out in the comfort of your own home.

Does it work?
Yes – and the results can be quite spectacular. For each individual treatment area, it is recommended to run a course of 4 treatments with gap of around 4 weeks in between each one. Fat reduction is typically around 27%. Of course, you can have treatment on several areas at once, so long as at leat 4 weeks is left between re-treatments.

It is important to understand this procedure does not remove the need for a healthy lifestyle and exercise regime.

Are there any side effects?
There are a one or two side effects you should be aware of:

The first time you use Cryplipolysis it can feel a little uncomfortable. After all, we are sucking a chunk of skin into a treatment head, and that surely isn’t natural! However once you get used to the sensation, it becomes quite relaxing. Many clients read a book or have a chat – one or two nod off!
The heating and cooling process may create concern – after all, with the skin being cooled to -5 degrees, how come it doesn’t cause frostbite? The reason is that each treatment head is insulated from direct skin contact using a silicon membrane. This can get a bit messy – wear old clothes!
After treatment, I will massage your skin to help warm it up again. There will be very little pain and many people have a treatment during their lunch hour and then return to work afterwards. One or two days after treatment, there may be a little muscle pain in the treatment area which will subside after another 24-48 hours. My partner likened the pain to being kicked in the stomach by a horse… however he has a very low pain threshold (don’t all men?)!!!
I will be in attendance throughout every treatment, so if you have any questions or queries regarding what is happening, I will be on hand to help. Also if you really are worried about the treatment, you have your own emergency stop button just in case you become over-anxious.

Can I treat any part of my body?
The short answer is no. It is unsuitable for treating breast tissue or any area containing scar tissue. The most common areas of treatment include:

Upper and lower abdomen
Inner thighs
Bingo wings
Hips (muffin tops)
Back fat
Lower buttocks

Are there any exclusions?

Cryoglobulinemia
Paroxysmal cold hemoglobinuria
Cold urticarial
Severe diabetes
Liver problems
Areas of impaired peripheral circulation
Raynaud’s disease
