CrossFit is a functional, strength and conditioning programme focussing on the 10 major aspects of physical fitness.
Strength, speed, stamina, flexibility, balance, co-ordination, power, cardiovascular endurance, agility and accuracy.
It is the principle training programme for many elite professional athletes, champion fighters, Olympians and military Special Forces.
However, it is designed to be completely scalable, meaning it can be tailored and applied to any committed individual regardless of fitness or experience.
The fitness needs of Olympic athletes and house wives differ in level, not kind!
This means the same routines can be used for a grandmother to a cage fighter, we change the load and intensity, we don’t change the programme!
We will train you using functional movements such as deadlifts, snatches, and squats, gymnastic movements including pull ups, dips, handstands and rope climbs, combined with running, rowing and skipping.
Our workouts are short, constantly varied, and performed at high intensity.
A typical one hour class will usually include a warm up, a strength section, a skill section, and then a WOD (workout of the day) which on average lasts around 15 minutes, finishing off with a stretch and cool down.
Including the scheduled CrossFit classes we will also provide yoga classes, nutrition lessons, and various instructional workshops including Kettlebell training and Olympic lifting.
We will also have open gym slots allowing you to come and train however you like, if you already have a training regime you want to stick to or simply work on a specific area or weakness.
We can also provide training for sports teams, for example, a pre-season S&C programme for a rugby or football team.
As well as private one to one personal training and small group sessions.
