Cropredy Tennis Club

Cropredy Tennis Club is small friendly club in a beautiful setting offering facilities for family, social and competitive play to residents of Cropredy and the surrounding rural communities.

Courts: Two hard courts are situated at Cropredy Sports Field, Williamscot Road.

Club nights for all adult members are held on Monday evenings throughout the season from 6.00 pm onwards. Non-members are welcome to come to their first club night as a free “taster”, if they want to try out the facilities and meet other members before they decide to join the club. Ladies-only club nights are held on Wednesday evenings from 6.00pm, and from 5.00pm towards the end of the season, as the evenings shorten.

Teams: Currently Cropredy does not enter teams into the local leagues, but will do so in future if enough members wish to partake.

Ladder: For the competitively minded, the club runs a ladder system for members to challenge each other and play matches.

Coaching courses for adult and junior (8 years and over) members of all abilities are organised each year if sufficient members register an interest. In 2015, junior coaching will run for six weeks from 30 May. Any adult members 2015 season.

Other events: The club is running a free “fun-and-skills” event for juniors on 25 April 2015 from 9.30 to 11.30 am, open to all junior members who may bring a non-member friend if they wish. Anyone wishing to take part needs to pre-register with the secretary. In addition, following a very successful and popular Open Day in June 2014, Cropredy Tennis Club will run a similar open day on 5 July 2015. Activities for “mini” players (5 to 8 years) will be provided. Members and non members will be welcome.

New members welcome: Cropredy Tennis Club is keen to increase its membership and welcomes players of all ages and abilities.

Visitors: Members are welcome to bring visitors to play at the club: cost per visitor is £2.00 per visitor per session. After three sessions as visitors, players are expected to join the club. Contact the club Secretary for information on how payments are to be made.

Cropredy Sports and Social Club: All members of Cropredy Tennis Club automatically become members of Cropredy Sports and Social Club (CSSC), and part of their membership fee is allocated to their CSSC membership.

Lawn Tennis Association (LTA): Cropredy Tennis club is registered as an LTA "Place to Play" and receives an annual allocation of Wimbedon tickets that are distributed to club members (who are also registered as British Tennis Members) by ballot.
