Cropredy Marina

Cropredy Marina is situated in a peaceful and picturesque rural location close to the village of Cropredy on the Southern Oxford canal. It’s ideally positioned for short and longer cruises on the southern half of the English canal network, and also provides access to the Thames at Oxford. Convenient road and rail connections are available from the M40, J11 and the railway station at Banbury.

Cropredy Marina was opened in late 2013 and due to its location and competitive pricing soon became a popular mooring choice, with most of the 249 berths quickly being occupied. Since opening the landscaping has matured and now creates a tranquil, rural setting from which to commence a cruise or just spend a relaxing weekend unwinding from the rigours of the working week.

The marina office is staffed, 7-days a week in the season, by experienced boaters there to offer help and advice. The berths are fully serviced providing electricity, water, diesel, gas, coal, pump-out, elsan and wi-fi. Dry dock services for coach painting and hull blacking are also available on site. Other boat services, e.g. maintenance, repairs, surveys and BSS certificates can be arranged through our approved list of visiting trades people.

Being so popular, the marina normally maintains a high level of occupancy. However there’s always a steady turnover of boats, due to owners either deciding to seek new cruising waters or to sell their boat. Such is the success of Cropredy, marina owner Tim Langer is already well advanced with a planning application for a third basin providing an additional 100 berths. Tim’s first inland waterways success was a narrowboat brokerage business founded in the 90’s. Recognising the increasing requirement for good quality moorings, Tim sold the brokerage business and developed the 270-berth marina at Crick. The first Crick Boat Show was held there in 2000 and is now an established highlight on the boating calendar.
