WHAT WE DO

We work with employers to improve the health and wellbeing of their workforce, in order to improve productivity of the organisation and hence its profitability.

It is worth bearing in mind that over 20 million work days were lost in 2013/14 due to work-related stress and musculoskeletal disorders (Health and Safety Executive).

WHAT IS CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY?

Craniosacral Therapy is a subtle yet profound and powerful hands on technique, developed from osteopathy. People may come for Craniosacral Therapy because they have acute physical problems like headaches or bad backs, or long standing problems both physical and emotional. Others come for ongoing support in their busy lives and for help to meet life’s challenges.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING A SESSION?

Employee sessions can be 30 mins or an hour long.

The recipient will lie (or sometimes sit), fully clothed, on a treatment table while the therapist makes light contact with their hands and listens to what is going on in their body. Craniosacral Therapists are trained to feel motions in the body which are more subtle than the heart beat and lung breathing that we are all familiar with. Using a gentle touch without manipulation, the therapist interacts with these rhythms to help relieve these tensions and restrictions. Balance is restored, which can have profound physical and psychological benefits.

Treatment can be carried out in the workplace, or off site at one of the Kent Cranioworks clinics.
