We launched CMME back in 2004. Our founder, Sat, was working as a contractor in 2000 and surprised by how hard it was for self-employed people to get a mortgage. There was clearly a gap in the market and he decided to follow his instincts, back by his skills and experience and set up on his own.

We were one of the UK's first specialist brokers for contractors and, from a small start, with a tight-knit team, we built a reputation for delivering mortgages and delighting customers.

The experience of starting-up and going out on our own left a big impression on us and, as we worked with more contractors, freelancers and consultants, it quickly became clear just how inspiring and liberating it can be to take the leap and go independent.

We believe everyone should have that freedom to decide their own future. But at the same time, we also know being an independent professional can be really challenging. The price you pay for freedom and flexibility is uncertainty and, when you go looking for support, you find Government, financial providers and conventional businesses just aren't set up to help. As a growing part of the economy, and a powerful source of expertise, energy and enterprise, we believe independent professionals deserve better.

That's why we know our job is bigger than just arranging mortgage deals. We believe the process�of buying a home should be much better, much easier and more fulfilling for our clients. We're here to fight their corner, take their side and secure the great value and service they’ve earned.
