More about Cockfosters Veterinary Surgery

Cockfosters Veterinary Surgery opened in December 2014- it was converted into a modern spacious veterinary clinic by Phil Barr & Tony White and the team at Wood Street Vet Hospital in Barnet. The surgery is fully equipped for everyday operations, with two consulting rooms, a kennel area for cats, dogs, and small pets, anaesthetic and monitoring equipment, and xray, dental, and surgical facilities. We're really proud of the quality of our facilities & will be happy to show you around if you are interested. We can carry out the majority of procedureshere at the surgery, with the full facilities of our main hospital available as backup for more complex problems or those who need overnight care. Our vets Ozlem and Angel both are here very regularly, and also work at our main hospital for part of their week, which means that even when your pets need to be referred to the main hospital for more complex investigations or tests, you and your pet can still deal with a vet you know. Our animal ambulance is based in Barnet at Wood Street Veterinary Hospital to assist our clients with transport and can provide a medication and food delivery service if required. There is usually easy parking in the parade in front of the surgery, and when required we can usually also allow access via the rear of the surgery. Out of hours emergencies at night or weekends are seen at Wood Street Veterinary Hospital by prior arrangement. Our phone line gets automatically diverted to the Hospital when we are closed so you do not have to find another phone number to call. And, as our computer systems are linked, the duty vet and nurse at the Hospital have all of your pet’s records available to help ensure the best advice and treatment. The close links our practice has with the RSPCA has always been a source of great pride for us. Helping charities care for animals in need provides us with a real sense of achievement. Links with Wood Green animal centre, the Cats Protection League and cat neutering schemes, means that this charity work is part of the everyday work in our surgeries.
