Skatepark and BMX Facility

The Skatepark and BMX track was completed in September 2011 and has been very popular since! The Skatepark was designed by Maverick, however a user group of local people were involved in influencing and making changes to the design, to ensure it met the needs of the local skateboarders and BMXers.

Clifton Playing Fields Skatepark BMXThe Skatepark includes a large number of features including a 'Broadmarsh Banks' style wide hip, flatbanks, ledges, quarterpipes, bowls and a vert pool. Not only has the Skatepark been recognised local, it is also attracting visitors both regionally and nationally.

The BMX pump track was designed by Dirtworks, and again the user group were involved in making changes to the final design. Although the BMX track has been constructed on a small area, approximately 30 metres by 15 metres, it has been well received by uses and allows riders of all abilities to try out new things.
