Clervaux Artisan Bakery and Cafe

Clervaux Artisan Bakery & Café is a Social Enterprise by Clervaux Trust, which is part of Ruskin Mill Trust - the UK wide Charity specialising in education and residential provisions for young people with learning disabilities and difficulties.

Our unique curriculum combines practical skills with therapeutic education, tailored to the individual service user - such as practical work on the land or in one of our workshops, as well as our own bakery or here in the Clervaux Artisan.

An important part of our work is valuing nutrition in it's widest sense, to promote the well being of the young adults we work with and, in turn, for them to pass it on their learning to you by preparing and serving the food.

Clervaux Artisan works closely with Clervaux trust, providing a framework for learning, growth and development and successfully combines a deep commitment to biodynamic, organic and sustainable food with a practical therapeutic education for services users with complex learning and behavioural problems. Clervaux Artisan is an integral element in the programme and service users have a hands on experience of the whole cycle of food production and service - From Seed to Table.

Wherever possible, we use locally sourced ingredients, much of which students grow at Clervaux Trust Eco-Centre. You will find our fresh produce on sale today in the café which our Biodynamic Land Manager, Roberto, has delivered. Our award winning baker, Dan, bakes his fresh bread on site everyday, this too, can be purchased for your enjoyment at home!!
