More about Clarecroft Day Nursery

We believe in the development of all aspects of every child. Our aim is to create a warm, safe, clean and friendly environment for every child and their family, which offers each a sense of belonging where they can respond co-operatively with adults and other children. We try to ensure that children find the environment stimulating and challenging, and where enjoyment and fun are linked with discovery and learning. It is our intention to make our nursery accessible to children and families from all sections of the local community. We aim to ensure that all sections of our community have access to the nursery through open, fair and clearly communicated procedures.

We aim to work with parents in a partnership and together we will actively maintain high ethical standards and equal opportunities in all areas of the nursery, therefore allowing each child to achieve their maximum potential and create the basis for their future development.
Our primary purpose is to provide a high quality of day care service for children, focusing on learning through play. We provide quality learning experiences for all the children. This learning is balanced, relevant to the child and related to the real world. It takes account of, and responds to, the children's developmental needs and allows them to make progress related to their different abilities and gives everyone access to both the inside and outside environment. We ensure the children have positive experiences of success at their own levels now, in order to give them confidence and motivation for learning in the future. Play is something that all children do naturally, through a broad and balanced child-led and adult-led play our staff encourage social, physical, emotional and intellectual stimulus. This in turn encourages independence; self-reliance and self esteem, which aids a smooth transition into mainstream education.
To meet the above aim Clarecroft Day Nursery are committed to:
• Deliver a service of the highest standards that is delivered flexibly, attentively and in a non-discrimianbtory fashion that will develop and improve each child's quality of life.
• Respect each child as an individual taking into account their appropriate needs.
• Demonstrate a caring and considerate attitude towards the children, promoting their self esteem
• Ensuring that our service is in accordance with the latest Standards for Care and provide as many learning experiences through play for the individual child.
• Ensuring that our staff are selected, trained and supervised to meet the needs of the children in their care. Observing, monitoring and evaluating children progress and consult with parents regarding their child’s learning and achievements.

• Value partnerships with parents/carers encouraging and fostering good communication, being attentive and responsive to feedback and by sharing information
