CMSD follows the Association of American Dancing syllabus. CMSD has adopted the Council for Dance Education & Training (CDET) code of professional conduct. The principal, teachers and assistants are qualified staff and hold current CRB certificates, along with current registration & membership with the AAD. Our school has achieved accreditation which enables and involves having young YTS students to assist in class. Caroline Flowers now ‘Lane’ AAADTMAG has been the Principal of the CMSD for 20 yrs. Upto present the school has 50 yrs of experience as it was originally opened in 1966 by her Mother Christine Flowers, who is now an Examiner for the A.A.D. Caroline Lane trained in all major dance disciplines before performing in both amateur & professional productions. With many years of experience, Mrs Lane is an advocate of nurturing talent to the maximum. Her friendly manner gives a stimulating atmosphere for students of all ages. Her own experiences and knowledge inspire her to provide exciting classes. She is able to offer huge opportunities to her pupils teaching them to display their talents in the annual show, she arranges a yearly summer/theatre school and professional freelance lecturers are invited to teach eager learners. Charity dance events are organised for pupils to take part if they so wish and also trips to London whether spectating/performing with dance in mind.
