Chris Wright (Baildon) Limited was formed in 1976. Chris Wright started by buying tippers and then progressed by adding Flat Vehicles, Crane Vehicles and finally a Low Loader. Ten years later he solidified the business by buying an established business and premises from Sharp & Griffiths (Transport) Limited. This was a purpose built transport depot which included a large warehouse space, service facilities and parking which enabled the Company to expand into the business we see today. The Company has been able to invest in new and innovative vehicles so that it is in a position to meet a wide and varied Customer base.


As the Customer base grew, new offices, additional warehousing and workshops were added to the Business and as the fleet increased adjacent land was acquired.


In addition to our core haulage business we have developed and adapted systems to enable us to become an established specialist haulier capable of loading and installing boilers, generating sets, control panels, furnace ovens and all manner of heavy, complicated and sophisticated machinery.

This expertise has taken us to various countries including Western Europe, Southern Ireland and the Islands off the coast of Britain where we have been a key contractor in many prestigious developments.

Chris Wright (Baildon) Limited continues to build on its reputation as a solid, reliable and specialist haulier by keeping up to date with modern technology, training of staff, replacing vehicles and expanding and improving facilities.
