About us

Since 1997 we were known as Community Health in Keyham (CHIK), then, following a move to Lipson in 2014 we became known as Community Health in Lipson (CHIL).In April 2016, we were on the move again, and will now be known as CHIL Plymouth.
CHIL is a small charitable organisation which operates city wide. It aims to improve service users' mental health and wellbeing through a community development approach.
We work with our members in a holistic way by offering one to one support, advice and information and a variety of groups.

Service Benefits

We currently run a sewing group, a drop-in, two support groups, a social group and a one to one service.
All services are free and confidential.
Photocopying and faxing are available for a small charge and we provide a free book-lending service.
We work with people who are 18+
We accept referrals from other agencies, health care professionals and self-referrals. Please phone or email for more information or an initial appointment.
