Chikara Martial Arts, MMA & Fitness Scunthorpe

Our fully equipped gym covers over 3000 square feet of training area. There is a boxing ring, striking area with an assortment of punch bags. Also a multi-purpose martial arts training area fitted with deep cushioned judo mats and a matted wall. We have a multitude of training equipment suitable for all ages and levels of fitness. Our Martial Arts we teach are Kickboxing, Thai boxing, Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Hybrid Submission Wrestling, this system is great for grapplers who don’t train in the gi, or train mainly for MMA competition. Other classes we have available are Lil’Dragons this class is for Girls and Boys from the age of 3 ½ – 5yrs. It consists of lots of fun and games incorporating a structured, child friendly, belted grading system for all abilities. Little kids energy turned into amazing Martial Arts moves, none contact with top of the range training equipment. Fun sparring with instructors if desired. Fighting Fit is a class aimed primarily at increasing your personal fitness through various types of intense training which is varied every week so your body never gets use to it- Bag work, kettlebells, bodyweight exercises, medicine balls etc. Childrens Competition Class which is aimed at those students who are looking at taking part in competitions - this class is more focused on Drills and Skills fitness and Sparring. We have junior classes on most evenings and on a Saturday morning. We are introducing Boot Camp classes also to our new refurbished boot Camp area. Our Martial Arts Centre contains a fitness studio, this room can be used for an assortment of different classes from the sedate yoga to the most intense fitness styles. We have a Therapy room for Sports massage and a Cafe/TV room.
