Camden’s famous T. E. Dingwall building at Camden Lock is being relaunched on 22nd June, following a two-month, £300,000 renovation.

The project will see the venue build on its historic roots as a legendary live music venue for big name and emerging talent, as well as become home to authentic Illinois barbeque restaurant, the Chicago Rib Shack.

Using the location’s original name, the T.E. Dingwall building, the venue will also continue to host London’s hottest new comedy club, The Comedy Loft, in addition to its famous club nights and impressive rooftop bar overlooking Camden Lock.

Guests to the Chicago Rib Shack – the original barbeque restaurant, which brought the craze for ribs and all things smoked to London 30 years ago - will be able to experience the fruits of a secret recipe, unchanged since industry legend, Bob Payton, first developed it.

The menu features responsibly sourced baby back ribs (the ‘crème de la crème’ of barbeque ribs) smoked in-house over applewood chips in specially imported barbeque ovens, as well as top-quality burgers and Cajun chicken.

In true Illinois style, live jazz and blues will bear a big influence on the restaurant’s atmosphere, and there will also be a range of American craft beers and cocktails.

Hungry guests to the venue’s terrace bar will also be able to sample bar snacks from the Chicago Rib Shack menu.
