Cheltenham Hockey Club

Based at Balcarras School, Cheltenham Hockey Club hosts 5 men's teams and 4 women's sides.
There's a side to suit everyone, whether you want to play for fun or if you're determined to play at the highest level we have a side for you.

Our men's 1s play at National League standard in the EHL Men's Conference West, providing some nail biting hockey at a fantastic standard.

The rest of the men's sides play in The Davis Wood Hockey League, and with teams spread throughout the divisions there is a side to suit all.

Both our women's 1s & 2s play in the Premier Division of the Women's West Hockey League, with the 1s pushing for promotion into National League. With the men supporting in coaching roles both these sides have stepped up their games in recent seasons. The 2s gained promotion last season after winning the Prem 2 whilst the women's 1s have narrowly missed out on promotion over the last few seasons.

Recently the club has introduced a women's 4th team and alongside the women's 3s we offer a fantastic base for players to step up from junior level and for older players to develop or simply enjoy hockey.

Cheltenham Hockey Club also run a successful Junior Hockey Academy for both girls and boys between Under 14's and Under 16's that acts as a stepping stone betwen junior and adult hockey.

The club has been awarded the ClubsFirst accreditation by the England Hockey Board. This demonstates we run to create a safe, effective and child-friendly hockey club. All training sessions are led by fully qualified coaches, with the aim of helping youngsters to fullfill their potential.

And if that wasn't enough, the club house lends itself perfectly to social events. Hosting a number of social events throughout the year CHC gives you the perfect chance to meet others and reflect after a hard day on the pitch.
