Charterhouse Centre

Charterhouse is part of Somerset Outdoor & Residential Learning Service (SORLS), which is part of Somerset County Council. SORLS operates 3 other centres. They are Kilve Court, The Outdoor Centre and Greatwood. These centres are based in and around the beautiful Quantock Hills in West Somerset.

Charterhouse can accommodate around 60 people. We offer fully catered trips and can provide activities led by experienced and knowledgeable instructors. Some of the most popular activities on offer include climbing, caving, archery, gorge walking, shelter building and walks across the Mendips. The centre also boasts an impressive observatory with a large telescope that can be hired out by groups. Some groups may simply choose to use our facilities and run their own programmes.
