ChariTeas Tearoom

The vision for Chariteas came from a desire to have a regular and sustainable income for our charity U Support and be able to make a real difference to the children we support, through U Support. Over six months the U Support team worked tirelessly to build our wonderful tearooms and restaurant. Having officially opened on July 15th 2013 we are incredibly proud to have received two awards including our 5 star hygiene rating. We offer a wide range of homemade food from chilli con carne to lasagne, then we have our freshly prepared sandwich's with a choice of fillings. If you would like something a little bit more elegant why not indulge in our three tiered High Tea with a layer of freshly made sandwich's on one layer, then homemade scones with jam and clotted cream, then a selection of cakes to finish it off, served with loose leaf tea in our finest china teapots. A lot has changed in our first year but all for the better and all with the same goals which is to provide disabled and disadvantaged children with happy memories. Memories, like, when we took them to the Mayflower Theatre to see the relaxed performance of the Christmas pantomime, Robinson Crusoe or providing them with tickets to see JLS and Gary Barlow live in concert or to see their favourite football teams play.We were also privileged to be invited by and to meet with, Samantha Cameron at 10 Downing Street to launch our Opening Doors Campaign. We hope that our Sunseeker Ball and the Voice concert will help us to raise awareness even more for this great charity.
