Welcome to Caroline’s Classic Cakes!

As you have probably guessed my name is Caroline and I make all the cakes and bakes out of my own kitchen at home, which is a fully registered food business, approved and checked by the local authorities.

I am based in a sleepy little North Shropshire village on the outskirts of Shrewsbury, but can deliver to wherever is needed. (Please note that some delivery charges will apply).

Although I have only recently found my passion for baking, I have spent the majority of my 25 year career working within the catering industry both in the UK and abroad, and hold a BSc (Hons) in Hotel and Catering Management as well as a current and up to date food hygiene certificate.
It has only been in the last couple of years, I have discovered my love for baking. But it is not only the making of wonderful and amazing cakes that I love, but also the real satisfaction I get from seeing someone bite into one of them, watching that look of genuine enjoyment cross their face, and knowing that it was me who created that few minutes of food heaven for them!

My product range includes traditional favourites such as fresh cream and strawberry jam Victoria sandwiches, tangy lemon drizzles filled with a lemon curd buttercream, a wide selection of different loaf cakes and an extensive selection of 2 layer cakes that come in two sizes.

Prices start from £4.25 for a 4.5" two layer, and £7.50 for an 8" two layer. Loaf cakes start from £7.50

I also make cakes that can be classed as a little more special, such as Sticky Toffee Pudding Cake, Chocolate Guinness, Red Velvet, Maple and Pecan, to name but a few! Prices range from £9.50 to £13.50.
So why not treat someone to a beautiful handmade cake to celebrate their birthday with?
For a small surcharge, I can gift wrap any of my goodies for a stunning present with an edible and mouth watering difference!
All these and more can be made and delivered to your door, seven days a week.

There is also a selection of other sweet goodies on offer such as double chocolate brownies, golden syrup flapjacks, peanut butter chocolate bars, bite-size bakewell tarts and all butter shortbread hearts. I also do a range of scones with flavours to suit all tastes. Fruit scones start from £4.50 for a box of 7 and cheese scones £6.95 for a box of 7.

I can also provide gluten free alternatives for many of my cakes and would be happy to discuss your individual needs and requirements.
