CAVS - Family Mentoring Service - Castlepoint

Befriending Scheme:

Befrienders
Do you live in Castle Point or Rochford district?
Are you feeling lonely or isolated?
Would you benefit from companionship and/or support?
Would you like to volunteer?
We can introduce you to a fully trained and DBS checked Volunteer Befriender who will visit you on a regular basis. This may involve having a chat over a cup of tea in your own home or participating in an activity of your choosing. A visit from one of our Befrienders may help reduce the feeling of loneliness and isolation, increase your confidence and help you feel part of the community. A volunteer will be paired with you taking into account your location, interests and needs.


CAVS Ways to Wellness:

A Social Prescribing Service for Castle Point and Rochford
CAVS Ways to Wellness is a new project for the Castle Point, Rayleigh and Rochford area and aims to improve your health and wellbeing by linking you to services and opportunities available in your community.
We can offer information and advice, based on your circumstances, to point you in the direction of the help and services that are on offer in your area, including:
Information and advice
Volunteering
Lifestyle changes
Community transport
Family support
Social groups and clubs
Health support (emotional and physical)
Carer services
