We are a family run independent used car dealer based in Great Dunmow Essex, we have a refreshing approach to car sales based in a rural setting in a friendly no pressure environment, we have a hands on attitude where we get involved in all aspects of the business you wont find any commission hungry sales people when you visit us quite the opposite in fact we are knowledgeable, friendly, professionals with an interest in classic and modern cars and genuinely wish you to buy the right car from us, we love cars so this gives us a real passion and enthusiasm for the job.

Canfield Garage was established some 30 years ago and was originally a roadside showroom with petrol station as with all these old sites our old garage is now new homes for the ever expanding uttlesford district and over the last 5 years we have moved to Hales Farm in Little Canfield where we have gradually refurbished the units and yards. We now have double the space, dedicated preparation facilities for valeting, alloy wheel repairs, smart repairs and full workshop facilities.

We purposely chose our location to move forward with the ever changing used car industry where we have found nearly all of our customers find us through online advertising therefore making the traditional road frontage forecourt with there large overheads a thing of the past. We have found that our customers prefer our new garage and the environment we have created.

Our partners include the RAC where we are proud to announce we are approved RAC buysure and warranty dealers, Finance partners include MotoNovo, Close Brothers, First Response and many more.

We normally have around 100 cars in stock ranging from cheap runarounds, family cars, 4 wheel drives, sports, prestige and the odd supercar, we have all weather viewing and inspection facilities available with good lighting and refreshments. Test drives are always a pleasure for seriously interested customers.

We have key relationships with main agents including Audi, BMW and Land Rover Dealerships enabling us to offer for sale genuine privately owned vehicles with verified histories and provenance. We have no expensive funding or finance facilities all of our vehicles are purchased by ourselves enabling us the freedom to buy and sell what ever we choose.
