Callanish Alpacas

Callanish Alpacas is a family run alpaca visitor centre located near to the world famous Callanish Stones on the beautiful Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides. Booked visits via the Facebook page involve feeding our 6 alpacas and seeing the other animals...a multitude of unusual chickens, 21 Indian runner ducks with pom-poms, 2 peacocks, 3 smiling goats, 2 mischievous four-horned Hebridean rams...and Dougal the adorable sheep! The animals are our pets and for this reason we can only offer a maximum of one feeding visit per day although you may come to view all the animals and take photos anytime during opening hours. If you are visiting the island and have specific dates which are not available then please message us. Winter opening hours 11am-1pm Friday/Saturday/Sunday. From 1st April 10am-5pm daily. Alpacaccinos coffee shop and local craft shop on-site. Toilet and hand washing facilities available. Outdoor footwear and clothing essential! Voluntary donations welcomed.
