Britain's largest and most spectacular garden centre, Bridgemere Garden Centre lies on the beautiful borders of Cheshire, Staffordshire and Shropshire. Established fifty years ago by John Ravenscroft as a one-man band rose nursery (who once lost his entire crop to cold), Bridgemere now covers 50 acres and is one of the largest garden centres in the world.
With a nursery growing nearly a million plants a year and six acres of themed, award-winning show gardens, its horticultural credentials are impeccable, as shown by an impressive collection of RHS medals and gardening accolades. 65% of the plants are grown on site in a range that is literally second to none and outstanding gardening achievements include relaunching the rare and famous old dahlia, 'Bishop of Llandaff'.
Superb shopping in a huge undercover area ranges from gardening products and gifts to clothes and toys, whilst our excellent restaurant and Garden Cafe serves delicious home-made food. Ever-changing entertainments include guided garden walks, play in the park events, workshops, and seasonal demonstrations and there are plenty of fun children's activities to inspire the gardeners of the future, including wildlife trails, outdoor play area and indoor soft play area. It all makes a visit to Bridgemere an unbeatable day out for all the family.
