Welcome to Brian Hill’s stonemasonry website.

I specialise in the creation of custom built, hand carved, architectural masonry for classic and contemporary installations. A natural extension of this service includes the restoration and preservation of building and projects from exterior to interiors. My work takes me to many interesting locations, it is not surprising to find me half way up a church steeple or in the comfort of a client’s home fitting one of my Bath or Portland stone fireplaces, after creating the piece in my work shop, after personally sourcing the stone from the local quarry.

I manage the whole process from stone sourcing, design, carving, creation and installation of bespoke architectural masonry such as fireplaces, gate caps, balustrades, walls, gate piers and posts.

With over 30 years in the trade my skillset also encompasses all service based skills such as restoration, stone cleaning, paint removal, walling and repointing.

My workshop is based in Bristol in the South West of England, yet I travel the length and breadth of the UK, working on site serving domestic, private sector and commercial cliental.
