Surrounded by countryside, Boffins Barn offers a tranquil setting with beautiful views towards Moel Arthur, with fields, rolling valleys and lovely country walks right on the doorstep. Explore the North Wales coast with its superb selection of beaches, resorts and historical castles, all waiting to be discovered!

Formerly an old cow shed, believed to date back to the 17th century, Boffins Barn has been lovingly converted by the current owners, who have taken time to combine some of the building’s original character and features with the luxury and style of the 21st century.

Boffins Barn is a great place to relax, unwind and enjoy a well-earned break. You may wish to take up a spot of fly fishing at the local Wal Goch fisheries or enjoy bird watching at the nearby Dee Estuary or Halkyn Mountain. Walkers will be delighted with the fresh air, open spaces, four walking regions nearby and hundreds of miles of paths and trails, including Offa’s Dyke path, which is a stone’s throw away or, if you prefer, you can drive the short distance to the Offa’s Dyke car park - a haven for walkers and cyclists alike. (If you wish to bring you bikes on holiday, we can, by arrangement, store them for you at the property at no extra charge). Golfers won’t be disappointed either as there are 16 golf courses to choose from within a 10 mile radius!

For children and teenagers, there are numerous days out, places to go and things to do even if it’s raining, such as the Deeside Ice Rink, Rhyl Miniature Railway, GTX Go-carting, Teqniquest, tenpin bowling, quad bikes, paint ball, softplay and much more.
