Brazilian Jiu-jitsu (BJJ) Classes For Adults
Coached by: Walter Barnes - Gracie Barra Black Belt
Walter has 11 years of daily, intensive study in BJJ to his credit and has achieved success in major European competitions
Blackburn BJJ students efforts will lead to internationally recognised promotions. Only students attending classes regularly and showing good effort and advancement will be eligible for promotions.
Occasionally we will have guest high ranking BJJ and Judo coaches visit the Blackburn Club.
Students will be expected to purchase for themselves a BJJ training suit (known as a Jiu-jitsu Gi) after a maximum of two classes, as loaning suits for practice is un-hygienic and students should be responsible for training in their own washed, clean training suit and wear an appropriate undergarment (rash-guard / compression top or tee-shirt).
Students will also be required to register themselves on-line within 2 weeks of starting classes, with the UKBJJA under the club name Blackburn BJJ (found in the ukbjja.org membership page drop-down boxes), for insurance purposes. This costs of £15 per year.
Fees:
payable on the night or ask for details of monthly payment membership options.
Important Notes -
Club Rules must be followed for safety, hygiene and BJJ etiquette reasons. These are posted in the club - PLEASE MAKE YOURSELF AWARE OF THEM ON FIRST ARRIVAL.
