Here at Bicis Y Mas we've taken the ethos of Dutch cycling and made it our own. We've combined a beautiful vegetarian cafe and a utilitarian bike and workshop.

Nestled in the beautiful Walmgate Fossgate area of York which has long since dropped the nickname 'Tricksters Lane’. The area is home to Paper Drop an Artisan paper shop, Bowler Vintage a specialist in vintage clothing, Glory Days a vintage wedding shop and many other wonderful and exciting shops that of course include us.

If you're looking for a warm and friendly place to relax mid-way through the ‘Way of Roses' ride, maybe you're meeting your friends for a ride or even just popping out for a bite to eat, then our cafe is the place we can provide you with a belly filling, taste buds tingling delight. With vegan and gluten free cakes made in house, vegetarian breakfasts and tapas style lunches our menu really has something for everyone, even the non-veggies will love it.

The friendly inviting atmosphere of the cafe perfectly compliments the knowledge and experience of the bike shop staff. With a full-time workshop, we can perform minor repairs whilst you enjoy your slice of cake and coffee or maybe a loose leaf tea. If your bike needs an overhaul or just getting ready for winter/summer we'll be able to sort it out in our comprehensive workshop.

Continuing the theme of Dutch city riding into the bikes we sell, brands like Bullitt, Achielle and WorksCycle were the obvious choices. We also stock the newer more stylish TokyoBikes which contrast and complement our Dutch style bikes perfectly.

However no bike is complete without the perfect outfit, our cycle apparel will get you to work looking good, whilst keeping you safe. Quality brands like 'Chapeau!', 'Water off ducks back' and 'Georgia in Dublin' mean that we've got every base covered so why not pop in and check it out. With a dedicated changing room you can try on the clothes without feeling like the whole cafe is staring at you.

We also have a large stock of rucksacks, panniers and general bike accessories like lights and locks. If you require parts, some advice, a coffee or cake why not wander by and say hello.
