Betty the Bookworm

As soon as my daughter could lift up a book she hasn't looked back. Books have been quite a savior for us. We have read to her every night since she was born but more than anything they can keep her quiet for hours! She is a real bookworm! coming up for 18 months we have books everywhere... in the buggy, in the change bag in the car, upstairs and downstairs of the house. She is at the age now where she chatters away to herself while turning the pages and I long to know what adventure she is cooking up. I'm so excited to hear where her imagination will take her I just cannot wait for her to one day sit down and read to me.
Today my day was so hectic. I had back to back meetings at work and the last one ran over so I was late picking her up. This also meant it was rush hour so we rushed to get in the car and get home, it was a rush once in to get dinner on and her in the bath. Once she was in her PJ's she had her milk and I chose 2 books and for those 2 books its like the world stops. Its my favourite time of the day. She loves to look and point at the pictures and I love doing the voices. At the end of the 2 books I watch her snuggle into me as she starts to fall asleep.. my little girl.
