Bath Academy of Musical Theatre

BAMT is primarily aimed at students (aged 16+) wishing to develop their singing, dancing and acting skills, focussing on audition preparation for full time drama and musical theatre courses. It will also be useful for anyone looking to improve their technique and core skills in musical theatre performance.
Running on Monday and Thursday evenings, the course is designed so that students can continue with their daytime studies at college/school or employment, whilst receiving the necessary training from experienced performing arts lecturers and practitioners.
Students will receive training in:
- solo and ensemble singing
- individual sessions on musical theatre repertoire
- acting
- monologue preparation
- acting through song
- ballet
- jazz.
This foundation course will give students an introduction into the dedication and hard work required in full-time training establishments.
