Bangor Marina

Bangor Marina is the second largest marina in Ireland and is situated on the southern shores of Belfast Lough close to the Irish Sea cruising routes. The Marina has become well known since opening in 1989 for providing a safe berth in the centre of Bangor, a pleasant town with many attractions. The Marina is one of 73 marinas internationally that has been awarded Five Anchors by the Yachting Harbour Association.
Visitors will find hotels, restaurants, bars, shops, supermarkets, banks, post offices, leisure centre and cinema within easy walking distance of the Marina, together with golf courses and tennis courts. International tourist attractions such as the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum and North Down Museum are close by.
The Marina itself provides all the usual facilities, maintained to a high standard and operated 24 hours a day by friendly and efficient staff.
Also based at the Marina are HM Coastguards Marine Rescue Sub Centre and the Royal National Lifeboat Institution's Atlantic 85 Lifeboat 'Jessie Hillyard'.
Quay Marinas Limited operate Bangor Harbour and Bangor Marina which is staffed 24 hours a day and maintains a listening watch on VHF Channel 80 or Channel 11.
