Baby Elephant Indian Restaurant

We opened the Baby Elephant at Gathurst, Shevington in 2007. Formerly a canal side pub called the Navigation Inn, the Baby Elephant has been transformed into a popular and busy Indian restaurant and tapas bar with a reputation for excellent Indian dishes served in contemporary surroundings and with in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
Our restaurant is situated in an idyllic spot on the banks of the Leeds Liverpool Canal In the tiny Hamlet of Gathurst, Shevington in the heart of the beautiful Douglas Valley.

We offer a large car park and canal side outdoor seating where you can relax and watch the canal boats cruise by.

Situated on the B5206, the Baby Elephant is easily reached from either junction 26 or 27 of the M6 and is just a few hundred yards from Gathurst Rail Station.
