More about Aspect Horizons

At Aspect Horizons we offer aerial imaging solutions, whether that be in the form of photographic stills, 4K broadcast quality footage or live monitor feeds, to a diverse range of clients helping them to achieve and fulfil their media requirements.

The advent of a new technologically advanced range of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) allows aerial filming to be carried out in a relatively straightforward manner without the need and expense required by manned helicopter operations.

Our pilots are ICARUS qualified, fully insured with public liability insurance, and have gained the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Permission for Aerial Work (PFAW) qualification allowing our operators to fly for commercial projects.

We are currently flying with the DJI Inspire 1 platform; this UAV is in the sub7kg category enabiling us to fly to heights of 400ft and at line-of-sight distances of up to 500m in all directions, giving an uninterrupted flight distance of up to 1km at speeds of up to 22 metres per second (50mph). Flying time per battery is approximately 18 minutes with battery replacement once landed taking a matter of seconds. Using GPS, the UAV is able to lock in position, and hold its position giving a steady platform for stills capture where an otherwise immovable structure is not available.
On site with the UAV there will be a Pilot in Command (PIC) for flying/filming and, as necessary, dedicated camera operators, spotters and marshalling officers.

Our services include, but are not limited to, Building/Site surveys, Agricultural/Farmland aerial inspections and Land/Environment/cliff/sea surveys, wedding & outdoor reception filming, and Estate Agency work.
