ART PARK Glasgow is part of House for an Art Lover, a building inspired by Charles Rennie Mackintosh’s 1901 drawings. More than 115 years later, House for an Art Lover exists to stimulate public interest in art, design and architecture.
House for an Art Lover is constantly growing and developing. As part of this developing programme, ART PARK Glasgow was created with its award winning Studio Pavilion opening in 2014 with Kenny Hunter’s exhibition for GENERATION, Kontrapunkt.
House for an Art Lover’s ambition is to support the arts and does this through an innovative exhibition programme, art classes, schools workshops, residencies, internships, awards and commissions.
As well as our arts programme, ART PARK Glasgow features a Heritage Centre established by House for an Art Lover within the former stables and dovecote building. The Heritage Centre is a brand new educational facility showcasing the rich and diverse history of Bellahouston and the surrounding area. Entry to the Heritage Centre is £1.
