Hello!
My name is Annabel Smith and prior to taking a career break to have my family, I was Style Director at Livingetc and Decorating Editor at Homes & Gardens (both Time Inc. formerly IPC Media publications) having begun my career at House & Garden magazine (Conde Nast) back in 2000. My styling portfolio goes live from May at www.annabelsmithinteriors.com and I will be offering interior design services as well as interior styling for residential and commercial projects.

My decorating style in a nutshell: elegant, modern rooms with pops of colour, thoughtful use of pattern and an eclectic vibe. Overlaying any signature look, my approach is to design rooms that reflect the characters, style favourites and interests of their owners in order to ensure originality and relevance.

Sourcing beautiful, inspired items of furniture, fabrics and accessories from trade shows, retail showrooms, new designers, auctions, antique shops, reclamation yards, flea markets and in particular on my travels, is and has always been my obsession. This underscores every Annabel Smith Interiors project.

I draw on a broad knowledge of products and suppliers. I can develop original concepts for soft furnishings and upholstery. I liaise with seamstresses, furniture restorers, upholsterers and florists. I can help with measuring up, specifying and costing. I work with different budgets and I offer room restyling services in tandem with shopping for product, in order to reinvigorate a space.
