Whether you’re a complete beginner or wish to go a step further with your Singing training, ASA can offer you one-to-one vocal tuition which will really make the difference to your singing voice. Working in a fun and friendly environment, Alana specialises in coaching established professional performers, yet aims to inspire and develop new singers or those wishing to take up singing as a hobby.

Your coach will train all aspects of the voice including breath technique and control, range development, pitch correction, articulation, repertoire choices, interpretation of text, confidence building and most of all ensuring a consistent vocal tone throughout the whole range. If you would like an extra challenge, your talents can be showcased in one of the many exciting performance opportunities provided by The Alana Shirley Academy, which may include concerts, production shows, festivals, talent shows and masterclasses.

Alana is a sought after vocal coach from Nuneaton, Warwickshire, now living in Hinckley, Leicestershire. She was awarded a first class honors degree from Middlesex University in Singing Performance & Education, after completing professional Musical Theatre training at Bird College, London. She is also a winner of the BBC Fame Academy Award for Musical Theatre and holds a Diploma from the London College of Music.

Her Masters Degree includes extensive research into Estill, Bel Canto and other wonderful techniques, vocal health and voice production, as well as singing therapy. She specialises in audition technique (including preparing dancers for vocal auditions) for stage school entries and professional auditions.

Whether you're a complete beginner or need to go a step further with your Singing training, Alana can offer you one-to-one vocal tuition which will really make the difference to your singing voice.

Working in a relaxed and friendly environment, Alana works with a wide range of voices across the genres of Musical Theatre, Classical and Pop; from professional performers and artistes, to young performers and those in training... all ages welcome: 6-60 (and beyond!)

Alana is the principal of the Alana Shirley Academy, an independent school providing private professional coaching and performance opportunities for young people and adults in Nuneaton, Warwickshire & Hinckley, Leicestershire.

Shows and concerts are uniquely produced with EVERY student having the opportunity to sing a solo.
