I am a qualified acupuncturist and Bowen Therapist based in Bristol, UK. I obtained my Bsc(hons) in Chinese Medicine from Westminster University in London 2010, and in 2015 became a Bowen Therapist after studying at the College of Bowen Studies. Through these studies I gained a deep understanding of the continuously changing balance of the body, which I brings to my everyday practice.

In Chinese medicine, the body is made up of meridians which are channels or pathways for Qi (pronounced “Chee”) to move and supply the body. When there is a disruption of the flow of qi illness prevails and acupuncture is a way of restoring the natural movement of qi. Similarly The Bowen Therapy is a remedial, hands-on therapy that is applied using gentle rolling moves. There is no manipulation or adjustment of hard tissue. Both of these therapies are based on the concept of efficient movement creating health, with the use of gentle stretching prescriptions to aid treatments given. I have a specialised interest in the effect of movement on health and have extensive experience working with musculo-skeletal problems and injury rehabilitation for physical performers. I like to bring a diverse and holistic approach to my practice, linking meditation, yoga and mindfulness with my treatment approach. My aim is to provide an educative treatment programme with my patients, aiming to promote healthy living and long lasting therapeutic benefits.
