• Improve literacy skills for students across all disciplines at UCD.
Throughout the campus, all students (to varying degrees) are assessed on their ability to produce written evidence of their subject knowledge.
• Promote academic integrity.
Teach students how to correctly apply the Harvard referencing format to their academic writing and instill that incorrect use of this will reduce grades.
• Instill the importance of literacy as a transferable skill.
Promote good literacy skills in terms of employability e.g. CV’s and job applications.
