I worked as a research scientist before retraining as a physiotherapist in 2008. I qualified in 2011 and have been working as a physiotherapist in the NHS for 5 years. My interests lie in the area of musculoskeletal physiotherapy and I have considerable experience in women's health, rheumatology and orthopaedics. I am interested in movement control and how abnormal movement patterns contribute to pain and injury. This interest led to me training in the APPI Pilates method. APPI pilates is a modified form of pilates designed by physiotherapists for use in the rehabilitation setting.
