Abbey Kirk

Situated in the picturesque Scottish valley of Abbey St Bathans, the Abbey Kirk is available for hire for weddings, parties, concerts, meetings, and more. The Kirk is in the centre of the village, next to the river Whiteadder and ancient wild oak woodland on the adjacent bank. The fabulous Abbey St Bathans House is close by.

Inside, there is a fine effigy of Ada, a former Prioress, which combined with the Victorian stained glass windows creates a historical ambiance. Everything else within is new or has been renovated, including a new oak floor (great for dancing), kitchenette, and lavatory. There is ample room to host 100 people and furniture to seat, wine and dine 60 people.

Outside, there is raised flat grassy terrace next to the river that can cater for marquees up to 15x25m (enough to seat around 200 people) and, accessed by the old Laird steps, more outside space on the riverbank. There is also potential use of the adjacent Kirk field.
