3rd Aberystwyth Scouts

What do we do?

We meet every Tuesday at the Scout Hut where we take part in several different activities varying from firelighting to cooking to kayaking. We enjoy camping and go on several trips each term!

Is there an age limit?

To join Scouts you have to be aged between 10 and 14 years old. Please see our other sections on our website if you fall outside this age range!

Do you go on many camps?

Definitely. Scouts thoroughly enjoy camping! We mainly do Green Field camping every other month with many activities including building camp fires, kayaking, air-rifle shooting, cooking and wide games!

I'm interested in helping out as an adult leader. What role will I have?

There are several different roles for adults - all of which are voluntary. You can join as an occasional volunteer through to a regular leader. You can undertake training to reach this level which are highly beneficial to get the most out of the meetings - and to help you be the best you can. North Ceredigion run plenty of training days and some are run in Aberystwyth too. We appreciate any help for any section!

I'm a student at Aberystwyth University - can I still join?

Of course! Plenty of students help out at our meetings.
