We are the first independent dental hygiene clinic in Guernsey. Following regulatory changes in 2013, patients no longer require a referral from a dentist. Direct Access has opened the way for patients to see dental hygienists without the need to see a dentist first.

Our clinic gives you easy direct access to excellent preventative hygiene and affordable treatment in a relaxed non-intimating environment.

Our clinic is for those who seek the highest quality oral health care and disease prevention, keeping your individual needs as our top priority.

Expert attention and treatment on the prevention of cavities and gum disease are part of our commitment to improving your oral health. We work with you to achieve a healthier smile that will be yours for life.

It is now advised to attend dental hygiene appointments regularly to prevent such diseases as tooth decay and gum disease. More teeth are lost to gum disease (gingivitis) than conventional tooth decay (dental caries), so it is important to ensure that gums receive close attention.

Included in these visits are oral screenings to help detect more serious diseases such as cancers.

At 1st Dental Hygiene we understand the time restraints of modern and working life. We offer appointments to suit every lifestyle. We are open weekdays and, by appointment, evenings and weekends.

Our team is highly trained, experienced and registered with the General Dental Council. Jacqui Le Breton (GDC 4370) practice owner and principal practitioner, qualified with the Royal Army Dental Corp.

Jacqui moved to Guernsey in 1993 and has over two decades of experience in private dental practice. She is highly trained and up to date on the latest techniques and procedures, ensuring that she provides the very best in oral hygiene for every patient. She is extremely thorough whilst being caring and gentle and will put any nervous patient at ease.

Jacqui also has extensive training and experience in all aspects of non-surgical medical aesthetics, establishing Medical Aesthetic Skincare in 2012.
